Lima, OH—In honor of human trafficking awareness month, the Northwest Ohio Rescue and Restore Coalition (NWORRC) is hosting their second annual online auction to raise money for local survivors of human trafficking. This online event will go live, beginning January 27th at 12am and ending on January 30th, 11:59pm.
The NWORRC is a Coalition made up of over 30+ representatives from the community and local agencies, with Crime Victim Services serving as the fiscal agent for this Coalition. The mission is to end sex and labor trafficking by enhancing public education, survivor recovery, and justice response. The coalition is comprised of 16 counties in northwest, west central, and southwest Ohio. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month from 11:30am-1pm and are open to the pubic. All proceeds from this auction will be utilized to provide services, shelter, and other basic needs to survivors of human trafficking in our community," said Brittany Reyes, survivor advocate.
