A recent afternoon spent making bracelets became more than a simple activity — it was a moment of connection and healing. Advocates sat with survivors, listening, sharing, and encouraging, while crafting bracelets that carried messages of strength and empowerment.

For one survivor, who had only just begun their journey with CVS after escaping a history of abuse, this afternoon held special meaning. They had hoped to meet someone further along the path — someone who had not only survived but truly thrived. That hope was fulfilled. Sitting together, creating side by side, this Thriver offered both words and presence — a reminder that healing is possible and that independence and voice can be reclaimed.

It was beautiful to witness.

Every healing journey is unique. Time spent in community and connection provided a unique yet powerful opportunity to foster belonging and hope for someone at the very start of that journey.

You can ensure that every Survivor has the steady support of a compassionate CVS advocate to walk alongside them. By becoming a monthly donor — an Ally in Advocacy — you provide the consistent funding needed to sustain this life-changing work all year long.
