T.L.C. (Teens Learning to Choose)
Inter Personal Anti Violence Education (I P.A.V.E. the Way)
This curriculum is designed to be given in ten sessions including the following topics: Healthy vs Unhealthy relationships, Bystander education, Consent, Empowerment, Stereotypes, Rape Culture, Why people abuse/why people stay, Stalking, Human Trafficking, and a culminating survey. Each session usually takes 45-50 minutes, but can be adjusted if needed. The curriculum can also be shorted to only a few sessions if time is an issue, but works best as a whole series.
Media literacy refers to the ability to access, analyze, evaluate and create media messages of all kinds. This program helps youth become better able to decipher the many messages they receive from television, radio, magazines, books, etc. The length of this program varies and can be adapted for individual classroom needs and focuses.
This is a one-hour session that focuses on what bystanders can do regarding sexual violence. The objective of the program is to help young students identify and respond to potentially harmful situations in safe and realistic ways. Through discussion and role-playing activities, participants will gain confidence in their ability to be active bystanders.
Cyber Bullying: A Prevention Curriculum for Grades 6-12
Cyber Bullying is a program that deals with attitudes and behaviors associated with cyber bullying. This program strives to achieve these goals:
- to raise students' and parents' awareness of what cyber bullying is and why it is so harmful
- to equip students with the skills and resources to treat each other respectfully when using cyber technologies
- to give students information about how to get help if they or others they know are being cyber bullied
- to equip students with the skills to use cyber technologies in positive ways
Human Trafficking 101
This a one-time awareness session designed to be from 1-2 hours.
Advanced Human Trafficking Curriculum
Developed by the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund, this curriculum deals with the risk and protective factors involved in Human Trafficking. Each session is designed to be an hour but can be adjusted if needed. The primary target audience is at risk youth.
