Victims of crime in Ohio may find assistance from a number of agencies, depending on the type of crime, the location of the crime and/or victim, and the kind of assistance needed. In addition to the county-by-county listings that follow, you may find help from: county drug, alcohol and mental health boards (ADAMH boards), county sheriff offices, municipal police departments, college or university police departments, local mental health associations or legal aid societies. There are also many state and national organizations that victims may contact for information and resources. In addition, each Ohio correctional institution has identified a victim coordinator. Lists of statewide resources, victim service coordinators in correctional institutions, and county-by-county listings are included.

The Directory of Crime Victim Services is an US Department of Justice, Office of Victims of Crime resource designed to help service providers and individuals locate non-emergency crime victim services in the United States and abroad.
